We organized the estonian biochemical society spring school
On 7–8 May, the Estonian Biochemical Society Spring School took place once again at the Voore Holiday Centre, under the theme InnovaaTIline biokeemia / InnovAItive Biochemistry.
We were delighted to host Prof. Ülo Niinemets from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, who spoke about volatile compounds released by plants and their connection to plant stress and the state of the biosphere. From our workgroup, Sergei Kopanchuk talked about decoding GPCR activation on budded baculovirus nanoparticles via fluorescence anisotropy and conformational biosensors. In addition, Tõnis Laasfeld introduced the character RoboBioChemist. These are just a few examples of the fascinating science that was presented.
The second day was dedicated to students, who had the opportunity to present their work in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. The seminar was an excellent platform for building connections and stimulating collaborative interactions. Thank you everyone for attending and contributing!
